Djuna Field

Djuna’s practice is focused on research and legal analysis. She works with the firm’s senior litigation lawyers providing support on complex cases.
Djuna joined Harper Grey LLP as an articling student in 2011. She started her legal career as a litigator practicing in both the health and insurance law practice groups. She has prepared submissions for and appeared before all levels of court in British Columbia.
In her insurance practice, Djuna focuses on providing advice on all areas of insurance coverage including preparing coverage opinions, drafting policy wording, and the defence of coverage actions. She also provides support to senior lawyers on complex general insurance cases. In her health practice, Djuna works with senior counsel representing physicians in civil and administrative actions.
Djuna grew up on Quadra Island before returning to Vancouver for university. She received both her Bachelor of Science in Biological Psychology and her Juris Doctor from the University of British Columbia. During law school, she participated in the Peter Burns Moot and spent a semester at the University of Hong Kong on exchange. Djuna briefly left the firm to return to school to study genetics and pursue a degree in microbiology and immunology. She is actively involved in the community volunteering with the Vancouver Women’s Shelter, Hoop-Law, and the Vancouver General Hospital.
