We are currently seeking a Marketing Coordinator for a full-time 14-month contract from May 2024 – July 2025. This position is an integral, fast-paced, hands-on role that offers significant responsibility under the supervision of the Director of Marketing and provides many opportunities to learn within a growing, vibrant, and team-oriented environment. This role involves collaborating with lawyers, practice groups, and the marketing team to create compelling content and branding initiatives that effectively promote the firm’s services and reputation. Experience in a law firm or professional services environment is an asset.
What you’ll be doing
- Marketing Strategy & Campaign Development
- Assist with the development and implementation of marketing plans that align with the firm’s business goals and objectives.
- Conducting market research, analyzing competitive landscapes, and identifying key marketing opportunities.
- Development of marketing content such as website copy, blog posts, social media updates, and other materials that promote the firm’s brand and services.
- Responsible for managing all aspects of marketing campaigns, including budgeting, tracking ROI, and measuring the effectiveness of different marketing channels.
- Ensure that all marketing materials and campaigns are consistent with the firm’s brand messaging and visual identity, working closely with graphic designer to develop and maintain brand guidelines.
- Updating lawyer profiles and posting news items to website and social media.
- Managing and tracking expenses against various marketing budgets.
- Collaborating on developing, managing, and optimizing firm website SEO.
- Managing, tracking, and analyzing website and social media analytics.
- Event Planning & Coordination
- Responsible for planning and executing events such as webinars, seminars, and conferences. This includes identifying potential speakers, developing agendas, managing logistics and promoting the event to targeted audiences.
- Provide firm-wide support in the planning and execution of firm events and seminars.
- General administrative duties including letters, memos, invoice payment, and maintaining up-to-date records and files of all activities.
- Liaise with venue, caterers, and other suppliers.
- Coordinating the purchase and distribution of sports and cultural event tickets.
- Sourcing, purchasing, and managing an inventory of promotional items.
- Coordinating sponsorships, donations, prizes, and client gifts.
- Managing holiday cards and gifts for the firm and individual lawyers.
- Providing internal education and instruction regarding leveraging social media.
- Supporting Zoom and MS teams events including RSVP tracking, sending reminders, monitoring registrations, etc.
What we are looking for
- 5+ years’ experience working in marketing, communications, or related field.
- Post secondary degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
- Strong understanding of marketing principles and techniques, including market research, branding, advertising, social media marketing, content marketing, and lead generation.
- Ability to work collaboratively with different teams and departments.
- Ability to write and communicate effectively to various audiences, such as clients, lawyers, and vendors.
- Possession of a strategic mindset and be able to develop and execute marketing plans that align with the law firm’s overall business objectives.
- Strong project management skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure that all marketing materials and messaging are accurate and aligned with the firm’s brand.
- Ability to analyze data and metrics to assess the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and make data-driven decisions.
- Confidence in using technology, such as marketing automation software, content management systems, and analytics tools, to support marketing efforts.

- Experience in copywriting, research and proofreading.
- Experience with virtual event software, including MS Teams, Zoom and EventBrite.
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with graphic production processes and applications considered an asset (such as: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Proficiency with latest tools in social media marketing and integration of programs.
- Familiarity with CRM programs.
- Familiarity with the WordPress platform and Content Management Systems considered an asset.
- Availability for flexible hours (in relation to preparing for and attending events, as necessary).

package. The salary range for this role is $70,000 – $80,000 annually.
