We are proud to share that an article co-authored by Harper Grey partner, Christopher Rusnak, KC and his daughter, Evy Rusnak, was recently published in the prestigious UCLA Journal of Environmental Law and Policy.
Titled “In Defence of the Trees: Presenting the Case for Ancient Forest Rights,” the article examines the important role old growth forests play in mitigating climate change and argues there now exists both a social imperative and legal basis for our courts to recognize legal rights for these precious few remaining ancient ecosystems. With a background and education in chemical engineering, Chris is particularly adept at dealing with complex issues and evidence such as hydrocarbon migration in soils, large scale landslides, covalent bond failure analysis, and econometric modeling.
