January 22, 2024
On January 27, 2024, Harper Grey lawyer, Caryna Miller will sit as a panel judge at the 2024 Undergraduate Moot Court Conference at the Peter A. Allard School of Law.
Moot Court is a simulated court proceeding that is designed to allow students to practice their advocacy skills by writing legal briefs and presenting oral arguments. The argument is then presented in front of the panel of judges who assess it based on strength and quality. The hypothetical legal case is intended to expose participants to the basic elements of being a practicing attorney of law.
The 2024 UBC Moot Court will pursue an environmental law case that challenges participants to assess the municipal government’s responsibility over environmental protection. Learn more about the conference here.
