Harper Grey finds multiple ways to celebrate Pride Month!
June 28, 2023
To celebrate Pride Month, Harper Grey firm members attended the Really Gay History Walking Tour, Monday, June 26. The walking tour was a two-hour journey through the Vancouver West End with stories and education about the unsung heroes who forever changed the social fabric of Vancouver. Read more about the Really Gay Walking Tour here.
In addition to the walking tour, the Harper Grey Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging Committee arranged an order of lapel pins by the Proud Zebra for Harper Grey firm members. The Proud Zebra is owned and operated by a gay couple living in Vancouver. Check out Proud Zebra’s online store here.
In concert with these two initiatives, we also took the time to learn more about gender inclusive language. Doing so means we are all communicating in a manner that respects diversity in gender and in gender identity, and communicating in a manner that avoids perpetuating gender stereotypes.
We’re thrilled to recognize Pride Month by celebrating the community and supporting a 2SLGBTQIA+ local business. We were especially excited to find multiple two ways to come together in recognition of Pride and what the month represents. Read more about our commitment to diversity and inclusion here.
